Jonathan Heiliger

Bill has served on Jive’s board of directors for over six years and brings more than 30 years of experience building technology companies as both an investor and advisor. Bill previously served on the board of directors of Palo Alto Networks from 2006-2012. He was also an investor/advisor to Nicira Networks, acquired by VMWare in 2012 for $1.2 billion. Prior to this role, Bill was an Operating Partner at Accel Partners, CEO of Big Bear Networks and CEO of Avanex Corporation. Bill gained his operating experience in product management as a member of the senior management team of intelligent hub pioneer SynOptics Communications, where during his tenure the company grew to more than $700 million in annual revenue. SynOptics was a major part of Nortel’s $9.1 billion acquisition of Bay Networks in 1998. Bill is a graduate of University of California at Davis and holds a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
