Scott Frederick is the Chief Operating Officer of StatSheet, Inc. where he oversees the company’s strategy as well as their sales, marketing and business development initiatives. StatSheet is a digital media company that automatically transforms data into compelling narrative content (stories), visual displays (charts, tables, graphs) and interactive applications. StatSheet’s first vertical is sports. Prior to joining StatSheet, Scott was a venture capitalist for 13.5 years. Most recently, he was a Co-Founder and General Partner at Valhalla Partners (a firm with $440 million under management). Prior to co-founding Valhalla Partners in 2002, Scott was a Partner at FBR Technology Venture Partners ("FBRTVP"). Scott joined FBRTVP in 1997 as its second employee, and in doing so played a key role in the creation and management of one of the Mid-Atlantic region's most successful venture capital funds. During Scott's tenure, the FBRTVP funds produced seven IPOs, and FBRTVP I realized returns of approximately nine times invested capital. Scott previously served on the board of GetWellNetwork, Quick Hit, Fishbowl, Geomagic, StatSheet and RealOps, which was acquired by BMC Software (NASDAQ: BMC). Scott has also served as a board observer on a number of successful investments including CareerBuilder (NASDAQ: CBDR, acquired by Tribune Company & Knight Ridder), Call Technologies (acquired by 3com), and LifeMinders (NASDAQ: LFMN, acquired by Cross Media). Scott is a former Director of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association ("MAVA") and co- founded the Young mid-Atlantic Venture Association ("YAVA"), serving as its first President and Chairman. Scott received a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1994 (cum laude) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Duke University in 1991 (magna cum laude), where he was an A.B. Duke Scholar. Scott lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two children.
