Heather joined Two Sigma Ventures as an investor in 2015 to be surrounded by innovators and use her love of research, experimentation, and technology in developing start-ups. Heather came to Two Sigma Ventures from quant research at Two Sigma, where she focused on developing statistical and machine-learning models of stock returns and portfolio behavior. She also worked on several strategic analytics and reporting projects for HR, legal, and accounting. Prior to Two Sigma, she was an analyst at Deutsche Bank, and interned at BMO Capital Markets in FX trading. Heather is proud of her science and technology bona fides, which she traces to an early fascination with black holes, bad weather in the Midwest, and Age of Empires. She loves reading biographies, hunting for interesting nuggets of information, and introducing meaningful randomness into life. Heather studied Economics and Statistics at Harvard and she is a former National American Miss titleholder.
