I had done different things at different points in my life. I did an engineering degree but ended up as a chartered accountant who eventually became a national politician, although my passion has always been history. I now run a data startup in Kuala Lumpur, specialising in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in predictive behavioural modelling in a market that still does not understand it much. We build platforms that utilise data science heavily. Our latest spin-off is an AI-driven job platform www.adnexio.jobs I previously held senior positions in finance in a national oil company, was a Member of Parliament and opposition front-bench and had been to lockups a few times as an anti-corruption activist.
