Antoine Paquin

Antoine is a serial entrepreneur currently serving as the founder, President and CEO of Solantro, an Ottawa based fabless semiconductor company delivering next generation semiconductor based solutions for distributed power generation solutions. He is also a partner at Rho, a diversified private equity firm based in New York, Montreal and Palo Alto, CA. For more than 20 years, he has defined and shaped the direction of several notable and groundbreaking technology firms, including Axiom Microdevices Inc. (sold to Skyworks NASDAQ: SWKS), Philsar Semiconductor Inc. (sold to Skyworks Solutions – NASDAQ: SWKS) and Skystone Systems Inc. (sold to Cisco Systems – NASDAQ: CSCO). Mr. Paquin serves as a director on the board of Accedian Networks. Prior to that point, Mr. Paquin served on a number of prominent public and private company boards, including GMP Capital, one of Canada’s premier investment banks, and Public Mobile, one of Canada’s new Cellular Operators. Antoine has received several awards during his entrepreneurial career, including Entrepreneur of the Year for the Nation's Capital, recipient of the National Research Council's Innovator of the Year Award, and recipient of the IWAY awards for exceptional entrepreneurial achievements (Canada's Information Highway Initiative). Antoine was born in Montréal, Canada and raised in Canada, France and Africa.
