Tod McKenna has more than 20 years experience in strategy, technology, operations, investment management, and research. He currently focuses on high technologies such as blockchain, particular with its promise as a trust protocol. Additional professional interests include all things hashtag-tech (#fintech, #healthtech, #insurtech, etc.), RPA, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, FoxPro(!), and platform business models. He’s the architect and lead engineer behind several enterprise big data platforms: • CAMA (a real and tangible property appraisal platform covering cost, market, and income valuation models); • The Laurel (web-based platform for capturing board applications for high net worth individuals applying for cooperatives in Manhattan); • QPRISM (an integrated ‘big data’ quant equity platform designed to support the quant portfolio, integrate disparate financial datasets, and perform multi-period optimization); • GEAR (management information and reporting system for the investment engine); • QUARTZ (a multi-asset portfolio diagnostic, investment risk, and signaling platform); and • Cornerstone (complement to BlackRock’s Aladdin platform covering alternatives, quant, risk, and hedging capabilities).
