Alicia Castillo Holley is an investor, speaker, and author. Her career started as a young scientist and professor on Agronomy (she published her first authored paper at 16) before leading the product development department for a Bayer-Shell joint venture (Plantagro) and eventually turning into an entrepreneur and angel investor. As an entrepreneur, she has started twenty companies -successfully exiting from five of them- and five non-for-profit. Upon moving to Silicon Valley, she has invested in over 30 companies, primarily through Sand Hill Angels and Wealthing VC Club, and is an LP in 8 funds. She played a pivotal role in the Development for the Entrepreneurial Curriculum and the Venture Capital Industry in Chile, where she lived between 1996 and 2002. She has lived in Australia, Denmark, Switzerland, Chile, Venezuela, and the US, and have visited over 100 countries, Philanthropically, she supports organizations that foster education, happiness, and domestic harmony. In 2018 she and her daughter co-founded Box of Life, an organization that provides food and medicine to Venezuelans, their native country. In 2020, she founded Wealthing VC Club, a boutique investment club to fill post-seed rounds, and opened a 119 room hotel in Sacramento, California.
