Dean Steinbeck

Dean Steinbeck is Co-founder and Managing Director of Horizen Labs Ventures (HLV). Previously Co-founder and President of Horizen Labs. Prior to launching Horizen Labs, Dean served as General Counsel to Horizen, an open source blockchain project with the first permissionless, decentralized and fully generalizable sidechain ecosystem. The American Crypto Association listed Dean as one of the Top 25 Crypto Lawyers in 2020. Dean has over a decade of experience representing traditional VC-backed software development companies and served as General Counsel to TigerConnect, a secure and regulatory compliant communication platform used in over 4,000 healthcare facilities. Dean is a corporate attorney with a passion for privacy and technology. Dean holds a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law.
