Marcel van der Heijden

Marcel van der Heijden joined Fortino Capital in May 2021 as Partner co-leading its Venture II fund and Dutch operations. Marcel was the first non-founding partner at Speedinvest where he spent the 6 years in the San Francisco office supporting the portfolio’s US expansion efforts, and then built Speedinvest’s enterprise tech investment team, including members in London and Berlin, while based out of Vienna. Marcel holds a MSc. Physics from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD from Leiden University. Marcel is fluent in English and Dutch.
