Jan Erik Solem

Jan Erik Solem is CEO & co-founder of Mapillary, a street-level imagery platform powered by computer vision. Mapillary makes images and data available to improve cities, build the maps of the future, and create safer transportation. Prior to co-founding Mapillary in 2013, Jan Erik founded Polar Rose - a face recognition solution for mobile and web that Apple bought in 2010. He worked at Apple in Cupertino for a few years and was once a university professor.
