Mike joined Blue Chip in 2015 after a successful stint running The Brandery, a top-ranked US startup accelerator. In addition to investing in and mentoring early stage startups at The Brandery, Mike brings operating experience from his product and brand management background, combining years of what’s often referred to as growth hacking with P&G’s classical brand management training. Prior to joining The Brandery, Mike was a thought leader in Procter & Gamble’s brand management function, architecting Olay North America’s digital strategy and ecosystem which was awarded P&G’s internal designation of “Best Digital.” Before P&G, he led product launches as a product manager at Match.com and AOL, including leading AOL’s flagship product at the time – desktop e-mail. Mike earned an MBA, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business, and also a BBA in Marketing from Notre Dame. He serves on the Xavier University Williams College of Business Marketing advisory board and Student Run Business Council, advises University of Cincinnati’s Bearcat Bridge Fund, and is active in the University of Notre Dame Gigot Center for Entrepreneurship efforts to support entrepreneurial-minded students. Still active mentoring early stage entrepreneurs, Mike serves as a mentor to The Brandery, TechStars Mobility, the LA Dodgers Accelerator, and the NFL’s Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program. Mike is also a co-founder and partner of the Kyros Global Accelerator Fund. Additionally, he’s the Chapter Director for Startup Grind Cincinnati. Mike and his wife Courtney, currently VP of Digital Marketing at The EW Scripps Company and P&G alum, reside in Montgomery, Ohio, with their one-year-old son, Tommy.
