Hans Kobler

Hans is a veteran of energy and climate technology investing, and a pioneer of corporate venture capital. He started his career at Bain & Company advising large corporates on innovation and strategy. As Chief Quality Officer at GE Equity, General Electric’s VC arm, he pioneered the strategic investment model and then led GE’s Energy Technology Investment Group, working closely with GE Power Systems, GE Industrial Systems and GE Research on energy technology investments. Hans went on to found and serve as CEO of Digital Power Capital, a venture capital fund focused on advanced power technologies. Out of Digital Power Capital, he started ICx Technologies, a leading sensor technology company targeting security, transportation and energy. He led the company as CEO through a successful IPO and a strategic sale. He launched EIP in 2015 on the premise of advancing climate innovation through collaboration.
