John Fein

John’s experience is centered on healthcare, IT and startups. Prior to Techstars, John served as Senior Project Manager for the OptumRx unit of UnitedHealth Group. During this time he managed multiple $100M+ programs that added $12.6 billion in annual revenues. He managed large, cross-functional teams that achieved key growth objectives including designing and implementing the 3rd largest mail order pharmacy in the world. Today this pharmacy generates over $2.5 billion in annual revenue. Overall, John’s healthcare experience spans 10 years working at two Fortune 20 companies. John also has extensive startup experience, having worked or consulted for five different startups, including one he cofounded. His startup roles were focused on leading product and operations for telephony and Internet companies. Originally from Boston, John holds a Bachelors degree in psychology from Clark University and a certification in project management. He loves working out, drumming, and obsessively rooting for his Red Sox.
