Biri has 23 years of global leadership experience as an executive and serial entrepreneur. He has an extensive products and operations background in cloud services & platforms, distributed computing, infrastructure and open source, data management/analytics, SaaS applications, and data center infrastructure. Biri has been fortunate to work with great teams who have built meaningful products and businesses. At Hewlett Packard, Biri was SVP & GM of HP Cloud. In this role, he oversaw HP’s global cloud portfolio and strategy and had overall responsibility for HP public cloud infrastructure platform, cloud services and HP's cloud ecosystem. Prior to joining HP, Biri was VP of Cloud Computing at IBM, where he helped lead corporate-wide strategy and portfolio solutions for IBM’s cloud business. He joined IBM in 2008 through the acquisition of Encentuate, an identity & access management security company, where he served as CEO. Biri has also previously served as CEO at Pivia (network acceleration appliance, merged/acquired by F5 Networks, 2005), JRG (software-as-a-service targeting consumer packaged goods, acquired by CDC, 2006), Crossweave (software integration tools, acquired by Amberpoint/Oracle, 2003), and Idapta (B2B start up, 2000). He was also COO of RelevantKnowledge-MediaMetrix Inc. (advertising tech., IPO 1999, now Comscore, Inc.) Biri began his career at NORTEL in 1991 in IT Ops and held a variety of roles, including product line manager for several NORTEL networking, software and consumer products. Biri holds a BA in Economics from North Carolina State University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. ____________________________________ Biri is currently an advisor/consultant to IT companies in the US and India.
