Alex has spent a decade making seed-stage venture investments in high-potential technology startups spanning B2B SaaS, digital health, FinTech, AI/ML, NLP, CPM, Insurance, Retail, Construction, Supply Chain/Logistics, IoT, HR, Marketing, Video Telematics, Genomics, Surgical Devices, and more. During this time, he has also been an active startup advisor with organizations like Next Canada, Antler, and OneEleven, and holds regular office hours to advise founders on business strategy, corporate development, product, unit economics, market segmentation, financing strategy, and more. His prior experience includes working with hardware & software across sectors from enterprise cloud development to healthcare hardware financing. As a business strategist and corporate finance engineer by training, he has led large-scale projects focusing on creating value through the digitization of legacy processes in Europe and North America. He will also be teaching the graduate Venture Capital and Private Equity course at the Schulich School of Business.
