Ritesh Tilani is the founder of Enhance Ventures, a startup studio specializing in online vertical marketplaces that improve lifestyles in the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey (MENAPT). Enhance Ventures’ portfolio includes joigifts.com, the leading online gifts platform in the Middle East. As an angel investor, Ritesh’s portfolio includes Medicus, an Austria-headquartered AI-based health-tech platform that helps people make better decisions about their wellbeing. Ritesh also serves as Chairman of the Board at Carzaty, an online platform to search, compare, buy and finance new and assured used cars. Before launching Enhance Ventures, Ritesh was Head of UAE at iMENA Group, a leading regional VC and operator of online businesses. Ritesh is an active player in the Middle East tech ecosystem as an investor, advisor and mentor to multiple startups and at a number of accelerators, such as TechStars and Startupbootcamp. Ritesh is also a regular speaker and judge at various events and startup competitions, such as the MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab Business Plan Competition, and has also advised multiple international technology companies with their Middle East market entry. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Ritesh was a management consultant with Bain & Company’s Singapore Office, and subsequently the Head of Strategy for MENA at Nokia from 2007 to 2009. Ritesh is a native of the UAE with over 30 years of experience in the region. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from INSEAD. Ritesh is an avid squash player, having played for Penn’s NCAA 1st Division varsity squash team.
