Joby Babu

Joby Babu is the Chief Operating Officer in Nimbuzz. He is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective business operations at Nimbuzz, the proper management of resources and distribution of goods and services to customers. With 100,000 users joining every day, Nimbuzz mobile application is currently available for over 1000 mobile phones under Symbian OS, Android, Java ME, Apple iPhone and Blackberry. Nimbuzz was also chosen as one of the 100 winners of the Industry Award Red Herring 100 Global. Joby was previously the Head of Operations at VAS Marketing at Aircel Wireless - Maxis Telecom Subsidiary. He has also been a part of the sales team as the Technical Account Manager at Motorola Chicago. Being the Technical Account Manager, he is a blend of customer service and product sales, since he not only assisted customers with their services, but also tried to market new services to existing customers. Joby was also the Software Integration Manager at Motorola Chicago. As the System Analyst for Infosys Technologies Ltd, he researched problems, planned solutions, recommended software and systems and coordinated development to meet the requirements at Infosys. He is familiar with a variety of programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. Joby is well acquainted with the Telecom industry and is savoir- faire. He graduated from Saïd Business School – University of Oxford, and has studied from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
