Jeffrey Lee Nelson

Jeffrey Lee Nelson is a financial executive with offices on Sun Valley Road in Ketchum, Idaho, with 30 years in agriculture, real estate, mortgage, finance, computer applications and development and mining. Current and past positions include Chairman of the Board, Board Member, President, Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, National and Regional Sales Manager for private and public companies. Founding his first company in Cost Rica at age 21, he grew the company to include, agribusiness (cattle, cacao, spices, timber), artisanal mining for precious metals, grocery and hardware sales, communications, construction, trucking, tourism and film services. Worked in all facets of the mortgage industry including correspondent, wholesale and retail mortgage origination, operations and management. Recruited and/or managed in excess of 1,000 other finance professionals for private and public companies, state and nationally chartered banks, as well as foreign banks. Emphasis in building start-ups and positioning companies for subsequent sale or public offering. Qualified Person in Charge for operational and sales offices for seven (7) employers spanning 23+ years and approximately $ 10 billion in total residential and commercial mortgage fundings. Honors include one of "The 25 Most Connected Mortgage Professionals" In the United States from the National Mortgage Professional Magazine. Financial Applications ‘fineapps’ developer for wealth management, banking and other financial services for handheld devices producing high-quality lead generation and legacy systems replacement for the mortgage industry. Mining industry advisor involved in ‘clean’ mining exploration, development and finance; due diligence investigations, financial and structural valuation and analysis, business development and marketing analysis and other consulting and advisory work and services necessary to bring mining properties into production. Participated in numerous capital raises from the aggregation of data and preparation of business plans, financial forecasts and pitch pieces, performing several hundred presentations to investment banks and high net worth individuals from the US, Australia, the UK and Switzerland. He manages a retail branch mortgage operation for Finance of America Mortgage LLC in Ketchum, Idaho, originating residential and commercial mortgages and portfolios of mortgages. Currently owns with his wife Lucia, a financial services firm supporting such diverse business segments as non-profits, for profits, individuals and quasi-governmental institutions, providing financial guidance, bookkeeping and payroll services, web and print services, board and governance support and other essential business services. Other interests include the arts, with 11 feature length documentary film credits as writer, producer and director, and in excess of 10,000 photographs in print in national and international publications. Currently serves as Vice-President of the Board of Directors for The Sun Valley Ballet Foundation, Inc. (a non-profit 501c(3) organization) developing a world class performing arts organization to benefit the greater Wood River Valley. He has a BFA in Fine Arts from United States International University and professional developmental classes in business, finance, horticulture, mining and other disciplines. Fluent in Spanish and past fluency in French.
