After graduating from Keio University's Faculty of Policy Management, worked at the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers Securities Co., Ltd., where he engaged in financing of financial institutions and M & A of business corporations. After working for VC Draper Fischer Jervetson in Silicon Valley, USA, he established Upstairs Inc., which operates an incubation office, in 2002 and assumed the post of CEO. In 2004, the company was sold to Net Age Capital Partners Co., Ltd. (now United Corporation). In 2007, he was appointed Director, Executive Officer, COO and General Manager of Investment Business Division of Motion Beat Inc. (now United Inc.). After serving as President and CEO of the Company in February 2009, he merged with Spire in December 2012 and assumed the role of President and COO of United Corporation (current position).
