Deepak I. Shahdadpuri has over 20 years of private capital experience in both private equity and venture capital. Before DSGCP, he co-founded and managed the Beacon India Private Equity Fund and GEM India. Prior to that, Deepak worked with Reuters Venture Capital, Bain & Company and Ernst & Young. Deepak currently serves on portfolio boards including Veeba, Epigamia, Baker's Circle, Eazydiner, India Lends, Mswipe, The Mom's Co, Piccolo, Pip & Nut, Furtado's School of Music, Ramblin Brands, Perromart, Brewlander, Salad Stop, Kinds Kones and The Golden Duck. His investment experience also includes RBL Bank, Indostar, India's National Stock Exchange, OYO Rooms, Cleartrip, GOQii, Redmart, Chope, F&B Asia and Hostmaker. Deepak has an MBA with distinction from INSEAD where he graduated on the Dean's list, an LLB (Hons) from King's College London and a FCA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. Deepak is actively engaged with entrepreneurship at his post-graduate alma mater INSEAD, where he serves on the Advisory Board of INSEAD's Global Private Equity Initiative (GPEI) and is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship. Deepak is also the co-founder of INSEADAlum Ventures, a seed fund providing capital, mentorship and value-added resources to early-stage ventures run by selected INSEAD alumni who are becoming entrepreneurs after graduation. Deepak also serves on board of Magic Bus Singapore, a non-profit organization helping develop underprivileged children through sports.
