Guido Hegener is Managing Partner at Digital Health Ventures (DHV), a sector-focused Venture Capital fund based in Berlin. After retiring as a short track ice speed skater (German champion on the 1,000m distance in 2003), he worked as both tech entrepreneur and investor. Guido gathered his first experience as entrepreneur founding Doktus (sold in 2008), one of the first startups initiated by Rocket Internet. Afterwards, Guido co-founded VC-backed startup dealvertise and led the company as CEO. Since 2013, he is active as an early-stage investor specialized in Digital Health. Guido studied in Vallendar, Oslo and Seoul. He obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and is a startup mentor for Deutsche Telekom’s incubator hub:raum and the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Berlin.
