Led a global team of 130+ to enable online banking payments as an alternative to credit & debit cards. CARTA - Vice President of Engineering responsible for its flagship product. Led a global team of Engineers across San Francisco, Palo Alto, New York, Rio, and Waterloo. APPDIRECT - Vice President of Engineering. Led a global team of 200+ across San Francisco, Montréal, Buenos Aires, and Pune. BIGCOMMERCE - Senior Vice President of Engineering. Scaled the Engineering team from 65 to 130 across San Francisco, Sydney, and Austin. TWITTER - Director of Engineering thru its IPO. Responsible for the Engineering Services teams: Trust & Safety, User Services, Content Management Tools, Platform Intelligence, Open Source Programs, Developer Productivity. SALESFORCE - Joined pre-IPO Salesforce when Engineering team was ~36 individuals. As Senior Director, he was responsible for a large portion of the Salesforce Platform. Ron also worked closely with the corporate development team (Salesforce Ventures) on mergers & acquisitions.
