Vinod is the Head of Product Development & Partnerships at MSG Ventures, a startup focused on developing game-changing technologies to redefine the live entertainment experience and a subsidiary of The Madison Square Garden Company. In his current position, Vinod drives hundreds of millions of dollars in capital investment to develop and deliver groundbreaking solutions in wireless connectivity, audio systems, video, interactive displays, broadcast, and content authoring to launch live entertainment venues pioneering the next generation of immersive experiences and launch “MSG Sphere” worldwide. Prior to joining MSG Ventures, Vinod was the Vice President of Technology Strategy at Altice USA, a cable television provider and multiple system operator with 5M residential and business customers in 12 states across the United States. He created and executed a strategy to transform the organization from a traditional cable television company into an integrated provider of a full suite of connectivity services (internet, broadband, video, and cable). He also launched the company’s 1st e-commerce platform and led the post-merger integration of the technology infrastructure and business systems of Suddenlink, Optimum (B2C brand), and Lightpath (B2B brand), slashing annual technology expense by 40% to deliver $20M in cost synergies. Vinod was previously the Director of Product Management for International Strategy & Globalization at Yahoo, where he launched mobile, advertising, video, entertainment, and search products in 40+ international markets while overseeing 20+ product managers, engineers, and project managers. At Yahoo, he built the industry’s 1st platform as a service, automating the globalization of new U.S. products for roll out in international markets and reducing annual operating costs by $27M. As Head of Strategy and Operations for Consumer Platforms at Yahoo, Vinod led oversaw email, news, and media properties representing 40% of total company revenues. And in prior roles with the organization, he established shared services organizations in Egypt and India, delivering an aggregate $135M in annual cost savings and earning recognition as a “Super Star” (representing the Top 1% of performers at Yahoo). Vinod holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management & Hospitality from Christ College of Bangalore University. He has also complete coursework at MIT Sloan School of Management, UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and the Indian Institute of Management.
