Jorg Binnenbrucker

Jorg Binnenbrücker is the Founder and Managing Partner of Iris Capnamic Management GmbH. He is Co-Founder and Partner of the Beiratforum, advisory of the House of Ventures at European Business School (EBS) and supports the German founders award (Deutscher Gründerpreis) as an industry expert in the nomination of experts. Jorg Binnenbrucker is the Managing Director at DuMont Venture Holding GmbH & Co. KG since December 1, 2007. He is responsible for business-planning, deal-sourcing, legal, crisis-management, strategic consulting, networking, entertainment and gaming division at the firm. He is also the Founding Partner of the firm. As a Founding Partner and Managing Director of Dumont Venture, he has built up the investment business of the media group M. DuMont Schauberg and thereby contributed significantly to the digital strategy of the publishing house.Previously, he was a Senior Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds Management GmbH. At the firm, Jorg Binnenbrucker was responsible for selection, analysis, and negotiation of investments and he had set up a portfolio in the area of Information Technology and new media in the recent years. His main focus lied on the supervision of portfolio companies in cooperation with coaches and network partners of the High Tech Grunderfonds. In the past five years, Jorg Binnenbrucker has operated in counseling for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He is largely experienced in the following high technology industry areas such as assurance, corporate finance, and distribution. In particular his field of action includes the extensive support of a corporate venture capital company. Jorg Binnenbrucker has been active in the venture capital scene for more than 12 years. As an expert for early-stage investments, he was awarded “investor of the decade” by the German start-up magazine “Gründerszene”. He has experience in general law practice, business consultation and accounting in corporate venture capital, investment management, and various entrepreneurial interest activities. He functions as an approved Barrister and studied Law at the University of Bonn with emphasis on Economic Law. Jorg Binnenbrucker holds a Degree in law with concentration on Commercial Law.
