Alper Akcan

Alper Akcan is the founder and CEO of Mikro Odeme AS, a micropayments service provider in Turkey and the Middle East. Akcan worked for two years at Yapı Kredi Investments, for four years at Vestel Information Technologies, and for five years at Turkcell, the largest GSM operator in Turkey. He started Mikro Odeme after he left Turkcell in the year 2008 and guided it to be the largest mobile payment company in Turkey. Akcan owns a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and an MBA and PhD in contemporary management. He currently lives in Istanbul, Turkey.
