Antonio Velardo

Antonio Velardo is a seasoned investor, entrepreneur, and real estate developer with over two decades of experience leading international ventures across real estate, private equity, and digital finance. Born in Naples, Italy, in 1977, Antonio has built a global career that bridges traditional value investing with cutting-edge blockchain innovation. His entrepreneurial journey began not in business, but in aviation. At 19, he moved to Florida to pursue his dream of flying, earning his commercial pilot’s license from Phoenix East Aviation and later upgrading it in Europe through the Capua Aeroschool. His travels as a commercial pilot exposed him to diverse cultures and economic systems, inspiring a deeper interest in global markets and entrepreneurship. Driven by this passion, Antonio returned to academia and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK, graduating with honors. Rather than becoming an engineer, however, he dove into real estate, beginning with property sales in Spain and Cape Verde before launching successful development projects across Europe and North Africa. Today, Antonio is the President of Real Capital Ventures, a $50 million real estate investment vehicle operating in Tunisia, the US, and other markets. He also serves as Chairman of Real Capital Caribe and American Wise Investments, overseeing diversified portfolios that focus on high-yield, low-volatility residential and commercial projects. Antonio is also the Chief Investment Officer at Moat Investing, a boutique research firm applying value investing principles to identify companies with sustainable competitive advantages ("moats") trading below intrinsic value. A lifelong learner, Antonio has studied Value Investing at Columbia Business School, completed the Blockchain Strategy Programme at Oxford University, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Digital Currency and Finance at the University of Nicosia—cementing his place at the intersection of traditional finance and next-generation technologies.
