I have helped innovators and creators build bigger businesses as an investor, lawyer, and consultant for over 20 years. I live at the intersection of media and technology, working with brands, talent, and startups. Clients and collaborators have included Fullscreen, Raised in Space, Cut + Sew, DirecTV, Calm.com, Tool of North America, Orange, Science, Jaunt VR, Will.i.am, Gwyneth Paltrow, Blo Dry Bar, Samsung, Jack & Jack, Willo Perron, Tocaya and many others. As an entrepreneur, I founded Music180 in 2009, the world's premier artist development community that gave aspiring artists direct access to hundreds of the world's most successful producers, songwriters, publishers and labels. Before Music180, I was VP Business Development & General Counsel at Audiolife, where I led business development and partnership initiatives, helped the team raise millions in funding, and managed all legal and business affairs. From 2000 to 2007, I worked with major Los Angeles law firms as an entertainment and technology lawyer, where I advised Fortune 500 companies, growing companies and leading talent. I was voted a "Rising Star" for 7 years in Super Lawyers magazine, and I've been featured in The Los Angeles Daily Journal and Music Connection magazine. I speak and write on entrepreneurship, music and technology, and have been featured at Startup Weekend, Free Lunch Friday, UCLA, Lean LA, io/LA, CMJ, Miami Music Festival, ASCAP Expo, Musicians Institute and others. I'm a member of io/LA, Lean LA, Dealmaker LA, Digital LA, California Bar Ass'n, the RIAA, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the American Federation of Musicians.
