Ash Egan

Ash Egan is founder and general partner at Archetype focused backing foundational companies and networks in the crypto industry. Before founding Archetype in 2021, Ash led crypto investments at Accomplice, partnering with Bison Trails, FalconX, Near, Mina amongst other crypto-networks and crypto-enabled companies. Previously, he was on the founding team of Consensys Ventures, helping to launch the capital arm within one of the largest crypto companies in the world. Ash began his career in venture capital at Converge VC, where he focused primarily on blockchain/crypto and machine learning applications, and led the firm's investments in Chainalysis. Ash studied Politics as an undergrad at Princeton University where he captained the Men's Varsity Squash team and competed on Princeton's National Champion Team in 2012. He has been investing in blockchain and crypto networks since 2015, and has been recognized as one of the industry's most renowned investors for partnering with prolific teams at their earliest stages. Ash has been recognized as a Top 100 Seed Investors in 2015 by Business Insider, Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2020, and authored posts in various publications.
