Andres Barrios

Andres Barrios is founder and CEO of Ancana. He founded Ancana in 2019 when his passion for entrepreneurship and as a real estate junky took him to this new venture where people can finally buy, sell and enjoy a 2nd home through fractional ownership. Andres has deep knowledge of the startup ecosystem in Mexico and Latam. He has co-founded 8 companies in different industries and has mentored and invested in more than 20 startups since 2010. Prior to Ancana, he was Managing Partner at Mountain Nazca, one of the most reknowned venture capital firms in Latin America but his entrepreneurial spirit brought him to start a company in the industry where he has most experience in. Andres' previous professional experience is focused manily in real estate in private equity and investment banking where he worked at Macquarie, BlackCreek Group, Prudential Real Estate Investors and UmbralCapital where he performed tasks in acquisitions, financing, property management, development and divestments. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
