Dave Peery

Dave Peery is the founder of Salto Capital, a venture philanthropy organization based in Asunción, Paraguay. Salto Capital invests in the best leaders and ideas in Paraguay through grants, investments, and scholarships. He is a co-founder of MuCi: Museo de Ciencias - Paraguay’s first interactive science museum and planetarium - and a founder of Lapacho Fund, an organization that enables nonprofit organizations in Paraguay to access philanthropic capital in the United States. Finally, Dave serves as President of the Peery Foundation, a private family foundation based in Palo Alto, California. The Peery Foundation invests in and serves social entrepreneurs and leading organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and around the world. Dave is a longtime advocate for common-sense approaches to funding that drive better outcomes for non-profits and improve practices in the philanthropic sector. Dave’s other professional background includes work in commercial real estate development, both as an individual investor and principal with Peery-Arrillaga, a Silicon Valley real estate firm. He holds a BA in Latin American Studies and lives in Midway, Utah, with his wife Lillie and their five children.
