Jayna Cooke is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and investor based in Chicago, IL. Originally from Michigan, In 2007, Cooke moved to Chicago and began her career in sales for Echo Global Logistics, Inc, a startup funded by Brad Keywell and Eric Lefkosky. Over the course of three years, Cooke became the number one salesperson, managed sales and training teams, and helped develop the enterprise sales division. In 2008, Keywell and Lefkosky tapped Cooke, and she joined Groupon, Inc as the Vice President of Business Development. Cooke simultaneously managed the largest books of business at both Echo and Groupon at throughout 2009. She helped develop sales strategies for the daily deal giant, and brought in the two largest accounts to date, Gap and Nordstrom. Cooke has also helped with numerous marketing and charitable giving campaigns, including securing placement on “Oprah’s Favorite Things”, which helped raise more than $1MM for kiva.org. In 2012, Cooke left Groupon, and joined Eventup temporarily as Chief Revenue Officer. That same year, Cooke began to pursue philanthropic passions, and launched Closet Angels. Closet Angels takes donated designer goods from individuals and designers, then resells the items with proceeds donated to St. Jude Research Hospital.
