Wendy Tang has been working as a journalist for the past six years in New York, Atlanta and Hong Kong, and is currently completing her Master of Journalism at the University of Hong Kong. Wendy started her career in television with New York’s local news station, NY1 News, as a videographer and field producer. Then she moved to Atlanta to join CNN International as an associate producer and later to the Hong Kong bureau as a digital media producer. Her last role was the lead digital editor with Asia Society Hong Kong Center. Wendy has completed freelance gigs in fixing for ABC News in Hong Kong. Wendy was recently elected vice president for the Asia chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA), building on her past two years as secretary for the non-profit. In 2013 she co-chaired the highly successful New.Now.Next. Media Conference (N3Con) in Hong Kong, which she will again co-produce for 2014. Wendy’s contributions have helped the AAJA Asia chapter to be awarded the “Chapter of the Year” award in 2012 and 2013.
