Gerhard Kürner is the Founder and CEO of 506, a fast-growing data & performance solution provider servicing partners, retail market leaders, global industry groups and fast-rising consumer brands. Gerhard Kürner grew up in a family full of entrepreneurs and started testing and learning with the first available home computer system in the mid 80s. Starting his professional career in the early 90´s with the introduction of CD-Interactive, Gerhard Kürner has always been on the leading edge of communication of brands and people. As a result, he was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Advertising in 1995. He helped to build up one of Austrias first privat television stations and one of the first nationwide digital streaming services in 2000. After the acquisition by Austrias largest publisher group he worked on the transition of voestalpine , the largest stock traded Austrian industry group. He helped turning the old fashioned Austrian steel maker into a global technology leader. During this time Gerhard Kürner won several global awards and was also responsible for the development and construction of the voestalpine Stahlwelt, which has since achieved worldwide recognition. In 2015 Gerhard Kürner took a share in an advertising agency in Linz. Together with his partners, he developed Lunik2 into one of the top 3 advertising agencies in Upper Austria by 2019. In November 2019, he founded 506, a solution provider for AI-driven and data-based marketing, which he heads as CEO. Selfmade entrepreneur Gerhard Kürner is always searching for new and better ways to build up businesses and to support people to do so. As a Business Angel and member of startup advisory boards, he lectures at various universities. He was part of the jury for the Austrian State Prize for Public Relations and also a board member at the Public Relations Association of Austria from 2011 to 2013. Kürner is married, has three children and lives in Wels, Austria.
