Joseph Reth

Joseph Reth is the co-founder and CEO of Autopoiesis Sciences, an American entrepreneur, computer scientist, and AI researcher known for his work in artificial intelligence and consciousness research. His journey in technology began at an early age, starting to program around the age of nine or ten. At 14, Reth began attending Modesto Junior College for Computer Science, later studying at San Francisco State University before deciding to focus on his entrepreneurial pursuits. At 16, he founded RethDigital, which quickly became one of the fastest-growing digital agencies in the United States. Working with major brands like HBO, Comedy Central, Whole Foods, Hyundai, and Verizon, RethDigital and its subsidiaries were represented by TheMachine and former Gersh agent, Kevin Herrera. Reth's exploration of advanced AI began with his work at RethX, where he privately released ECHO-1, an advanced AI agent and language model. ECHO-1 successfully operated over 30 brands' social media accounts, reaching millions of people and interacting with thousands of individuals without human detection from August 2021 to December 2022. In December 2022, he founded Lossless Research with the bold mission of advancing the scientific understanding of human consciousness through artificially conscious systems. The company attracted accomplished scientists, engineers, and creatives from prestigious institutions and rival AI research labs. During this period, Reth's research extended to collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense.
