Jim Demetriades is a CEO and Founder at Kairos VC. He attended Loyola Marymount University. Jim has been an early-stage tech investor and entrepreneur since 1985. He enjoys starting groundbreaking companies and concepts - whether tech, EDI standards, or new classes of yachts. At Kairos Ventures he has created a whole new style of venture capital that has financed and supported the creation of numerous unique world-changing technologies. He also founded SeeBeyond, with 5,000 dollars, which became the world's largest organically grown integration software company and the largest software company in Los Angeles history. He took Seebeyond public and then sold it to Sun Microsystems. He started inspero.net a philanthropic educational website and Suitz, a security app. Jim serves on the boards of numerous portfolio companies. Jim is also a real estate owner, manager, and developer. He has been active in a variety of philanthropic and political initiatives. Jim graduated from Loyola Marymount University, with a dual Bachelor’s in Economics and Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Business.
