Tom Ryan

Tom Ryan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Business Students' Association, responsible for the organisation's growth and development in representing the interests and concerns of over 200,000 Australian business students. A 19-year-old university student with an interest in bridging the disconnect between education and industry, Tom has worked tirelessly to develop the peak representative body for Australian business students. Tom is a current student at Macquarie University and also holds the position of President at the Macquarie University Business Society. Given his background in new venture development as a teenager, in May 2018 Tom was headhunted to lead the innovation and technology arm of a private equity firm based in Sydney, working with the former CFO of HSBC to develop a solution for the banking industry. Tom has developed a prominent role within industry as a young business leader, and his commitment to strengthening the support for students, coupled with his interests in innovation and entrepreneurship, drives him achieve unparalleled results for someone of his age.
