Shawn Kung

Shawn Kung is Super Angel & Advisor with a highly successful track record with early-stage software startup winners. He has been an Angel or Advisor with a proven winning track record with startups including Facebook, Cohesity, Pinecone, Zuora, Tenable, MotherDuck, Neon.tech, Omni Analytics, Vectara and more. Based in Silicon Valley for 25+ years, he is currently a Venture Partner at AV8 Ventures and an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University. Previously he was Head of Products, SaaS platform at Tenable ($3 Billion Nasdaq IPO) and Aster Data Systems (founding team, $331M exit to Teradata). Shawn has also served as Vice President, Strategic Accelerator at Micron Technology, Industry Chairman of the UC Santa Cruz Center for Research in Open Source Software, and Founding Partner of LucidCloud Advisors. He earned a BA from Princeton, MS Management Science & Engineering from Stanford, and Certificate (Honors) from Harvard Business School.
