When she moved to Miami in , one of the things Lisa found most intriguing was the atmosphere in the local nail salons. Not only were they trendy and designed to encourage socialization, they were deeply committed to cleanliness. It was a stunning experience that she looked forward to weekly—and dramatically unlike what she experienced in her hometown of Philadelphia. Lisa McElhone has experience in a wide range of industries, including law, mortgages and lending, and telecommunications. After acquiring her degree in management information from St. Joseph’s University, she started with a job as a quality assurance technician, but went through several positions and industries as she tried to find a job that fulfilled her passions and ignited the creative spark she had enjoyed as a teenager, when she attended a creative and performing arts school as a student of dance. In Lacquer Lounge, Lisa has the fulfillment of all of those years of experience, including the business knowledge that has helped propel her to the forefront of her industry as an entrepreneur as well as her natural creativity, drive, and talent.
