Panos Gikas

Dr. Panagiotis Gikas is an Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (Private Patients Unit). He also works out of the Lister Hospital in Chelsea, and out of the Spire Bushey Hospital (Clinic and Theatres). He specialises in hip and knee joint replacements, arthroscopy, and stem cell transplantation for cartilage damage. He is also an expert in treating bone and soft tissue sarcoma and metastatic bone disease. In addition, Dr. Gikas has done research on the use of robotic instruments for knee replacement, and the use of stem cells. His current research focusses on the next level of endoprosthetic joint replacements for tumor and complex revision surgeries, along with novel applications of photodynamic therapy in infection prevention.
