Catherine Wu

Cat focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software. She’s particularly interested in data infrastructure, developer tools, and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Index, Cat worked at Elementl, maker of the open-source data orchestrator Dagster. There, she led the development of the commercial product, Dagster Cloud. Previously, Cat was an early engineer at Scale, where she grew the labeler community and partnered with strategic AV customers. Before that, she worked at Yelp, JPMorgan and YouTube. Cat graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in Computer Science. She currently lives in San Francisco and is an avid reader, occasional cook, and constant tinkerer.
