Anne DeGheest is a mentor capitalist specializing in investing and mentoring early-stage start-ups in healthcare. She founded MedStars Ventures Partners and HealthTech Capital, a new ecosystem between private angel investors, venture capitalists and industry players to fund and mentor new "HealthTech" companies that decrease healthcare cost by leveraging computer and mobility technology. The life science companies for which she has been a founder or an early advisor have generated over $6 billion in market capitalization including Pyxis (now part of CareFusion), Aspect Medical (acquired by Covidien), VISX (acquired by AMO), Thermage (merged into Solta Medical), VISICU(acquired by Philips), Masimo (Nasdaq: MASI), Nellcor (a division of Covidien), MedPool and OmniCell (Nasdaq: OMCL).She has an MBA from Harvard and a Master in Business Engineering from University of Brussels.
