Alex Conconi

Alex is a Founding Partner and President of Conconi Growth Partners. He started his career as a mortgage broker in Victoria, while studying Economics at the University of Victoria, before moving home to Vancouver to study Finance at Simon Fraser University’s Segal Graduate School of Business. While at SFU, Alex acted as Chief Investment Officer of the Student Investment Advisory Service fund, a then $10M diversified investment manager of the SFU Endowment Portfolio, which was rated 2nd in North America for risk adjusted returns at R.I.S.E. XI in the Balanced Portfolio category. Upon graduation from SFU, Alex and Bob founded Alt Mortgages in 2011, and began building what would become CGP that same year. In 2013, Alex founded Lendesk, a CGP portfolio company, for which he serves as President. Lendesk is a loan origination and underwriting system first used by Alt Mortgages, that now serves a wide range of brokers and lenders in the alternative lending industry. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from UVic, where he graduated with Distinction, and a Masters of Science in Finance from SFU. He has completed his licensing education as Mortgage Broker in BC, and also holds a CIM designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. Alex has completed level 1 and 2 of the CFA curriculum.
