Simone Botti

Simone Botti is a Venture Partner at Matar Capital Advisors Ltd. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of Metabomed LTD. Simone Botti is currently employed at Merck Serono S.A., Investment Arm. He was the Vice President of Business Development at RAD BioMed Accelerator. He joined RAD BioMed Accelerator in November 2008. He regularly acts as a consultant for major European and Asian governments and financial institutions in matters of technology transfer and technology financing. He has a successful ten year career of life science entrepreneur, business development professional, and consultant. Prior to Matar Capital Advisors, he was the Founder and Managing Partner at Altiora Ventures a Corporate Finance and Investment Banking Boutique specialized in cross border M&A and international business development. Simone Botti was also a Senior Director, Business Development (EMEA) for Cogenics. He was the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientist at BioStrX Ltd. He also co-founded the firm. He was a Vice President at SIXX Partners. Simone Botti was a Councilor of the Italian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce and a founding member of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, he organized a number of high-level conferences on technology transfer between Israel and several European and Asian countries. He is Senior Consultant to the Israel Structural Proteomics Center at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and a member of the Biophysical Society. He was NIH–ADDP Fellow at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He received the “Dov Elad“ award in Structural Biology. Simone Botti holds a Ph.D. Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
