Lee Edwards

Lee Edwards is a General Partner at Root Ventures, an early-stage investment firm focused on hard tech. Lee's area is the software thesis for Root - including developer tools and services, software infrastructure, tools for data scientists and engineers, and applied AI & ML. He works closely with Daily, Esper, HASH, and Superconductive. His angel and scout portfolio includes (Lever, Common Networks, Skydio, Dipsea Stories.) Lee previously worked at Teespring as a CTO and VP of Engineering. He attended Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. He was previously CTO & VP Engineering at Teespring, Lead Engineer at SideTour and Engineering Manager at Groupon after SideTour was acquired by Groupon in 2013, and an engineer at Pivotal Labs and iRobot. Lee holds a B.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Systems Design from Olin College of Engineering in Needham, MA. He was a member of the second graduating class in 2007, and now serves as Olin College's first alumni full member of the Board of Trustees.
