Sarah Fay is a digital transformation and AI leader, who has leveraged major technology innovation waves to establish groundbreaking new models for the operation and marketing of businesses. Sarah served as CEO of Aegis Media North America (now Dentsu), a global media and digital marketing communications company, where she was also responsible for launching and growing significant parts of that business during her eleven-year tenure (1998-2009). During that period, Sarah served as President of Carat US, and President of Isobar US, the two largest divisions of Aegis Media North America, during which time she acquired six companies and led the integration of digital marketing with traditional media services during an era when digital marketing was gaining prominence. Since 2009, Sarah has served as an Independent Director on the Boards of public and private technology and digital media companies including Ziff Davis (Nasdaq: ZD) where she currently serves as Non-Executive Board Chair. Some of Sarah’s other board positions have included The Street (Nasdaq:TST - acquired in 2019 by Euromoney and The Maven), [X+1] (acquired by Rocket Fuel in 2014), Engauge (acquired by Publicis in 2014), Women’s Marketing Inc (acquired by Stephens Group in 2014), Celtra (acquired by STG in 2021), and Socialflow (acquired by Piano in 2022),. Sarah was one of the first participants in the AI revolution as a Partner at Glasswing Ventures (2016-2023), investing in early-stage AI-powered companies, and helping them to grow. Today, she regularly shares her experience as a speaker on the topic of AI and Generative AI. Sarah is also an active advocate of ESG and DEI initiatives, with a history of working closely with organizations such as Principals for Responsible Investment (PRI) and All Raise, where she launched and led the Boston chapter from 2019-2023. Some of her other contributions to the broader ecosystem include serving on the Executive Board of the Ad Club of Boston, the Board of Boston’s Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of The Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX). Sarah has received numerous accolades and awards for her accomplishments such as “Influential Board Director of 2019” (Women’s Inc.) “Media All Star” (AdWeek), “Top 100 Most Influential People in Media (Media Post), Women to Watch (Ad Age), and “Fast 50” (Fast Company). Sarah earned a BA in English from the University of Vermont.
