John Ferlito

John is a Board Advisor, Non-Executive Director and Mentor, with a +20-year track record of helping start-ups, scale-ups and mature businesses to capture market opportunity and pivot to ensure sustained growth. Notably, as a Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, John built Bulletproof Group from the ground up into a multimillion-dollar, ASX-listed entity, and in 2019, supported the business’ merger with AC3. Today, he continues to hold a Strategic Advisory role with AC3 in addition to several ambitious start-ups, including Rookout. His current focus is as Co-Founder and CTO of Gladly, an app founded with a mission to create the favour economy. John is known for being bold, agile and innovative, and throughout his career, has guided businesses through fast-changing and competitive markets to commercial success. A feat demonstrated throughout his tenure with Bulletproof Group, John continuously pivoted the business to meet future needs while bringing Australia-first offerings to market. Under his leadership, Bulletproof Group became the first AWS managed services provider in Australia. Other notable achievements include leading the start-up of Robot Parade into a trusted professional services provider to clients such as The University of Sydney and as Co-Founder and CTO of Vquence, creating the infrastructure needed to pivot the business to become a market leader in social video intelligence. John has held numerous Board appointments, including President of Linux Australia and Alternate Director of Vquence, for over 8 years. John holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering and was selected to complete the Emerging CEOs Program with CEO Institute. He is also a Graduate of the Company Directors Course (GAICD) with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
