Linda Broekhuizen is Chief Investment Officer in FMO’s Management Board since 2014. In this role, she is responsible for FMO’s total investment portfolio of EUR 9.6 billion. FMO is the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, investing since 1970 in the private sector in developing economies in Africa, Asia and Latin America. FMO’s investments focus on three sectors: Financial Institutions, Energy and Agribusiness. FMO simultaneously targets financial returns and impact returns. The Sustainable Development Goals as well as environmental, social and corporate governance policies are a central part of FMO’s core investment strategies and business. Linda Broekhuizen is member of the Supervisory Board of KIT (Royal Tropical Institute), member of the Supervisory Board of Arise, member of the Appeals Commission of the Foundation for Banking Ethics Enforcement and member of the Supervisory Board of the Netherlands Council for Trade promotion (NCH). In 2000, she started working at FMO’s Eastern Europe & Central Asia department. She was responsible for Latin America, Sustainability Development, Agribusiness and Financial Institutions. She joined FMO’s Management Board in 2014. Linda Broekhuizen started her career at Fortis Bank in the Financial Institutions team for Latin America. She has master’s degrees in International Relations and in Business Administration. In 2010 she finalized a postgraduate program on Corporate Social Responsibility Management.
