Steve Jang

Back in 2009, Steve began angel investing in startups while also building his own products in the consumer social space the first company was Uber, where he was a founding advisor and early investor. Fast forward to 2014, Steve started Kindred Ventures originally as a solo angel fund with a dozen prior angel investments and the passion to help other founders. Since then, Steve and Kanyi have partnered to design and build a new seed venture capital platform which both invests and forms startups. Steve focuses his investment and formation work in crypto/web3, marketplaces, connected hardware/software, developer tools, and sustainability/climate-tech, and has backed over 11 unicorn companies and projects with a total market capitalization over $150B, including Coinbase, Uber, DYDX Protocol, Mobilecoin, Mina Protocol, Braintrust, Nervos Network, Postmates, Poshmark, Color Health, Zymergen and Tonal.
