Ben Brode

As Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer for Second Dinner, Ben Brode leads game development at the studio, whether that’s supporting and growing the development group, or getting in and doing some designing, programming, and implementing himself. Everyone at the studio wears multiple hats, and Brode enjoys stackin’ hats with the best of them. Previously, Brode was a 15-year veteran of Blizzard Entertainment, most known for his role as game director for Hearthstone. Brode was part of the small team that incepted the game and took it to launch and through 12 expansions. Brode took over as Game Director in 2016, and was responsible for all aspects of design, supporting the various teams who were responsible for the design of cards, tavern brawls, events, missions, systems, and UI. In his free time, Brode likes to rap, play video games with his children, and eat at new restaurants.
