Tricia Martínez is a Managing Director at Techstars, the largest early-stage investor globally, where she invests in emerging technologies that can change the world. Tricia is an experienced serial entrepreneur, investor, and activist passionate about driving large-scale impact through technology and innovation. She has earned titles including top 20 founders of color by Conscious Company Magazine, Hispanic Entrepreneur of the Year by United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a top 100 FinTech Leader, among others. In addition to her work building and investing in startup ecosystems, Tricia advises a number of companies in the emerging technologies space including Foxconn’s Mobility in Harmony, an initiative creating an open Electric Vehicle ecosystem that promotes collaboration in the mobility industry. Prior to Techstars Tricia served as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow at the Department of Energy working across the National Laboratory system at OTT where she designed innovation systems to advance commercialization and deployment of technology as well as influenced federal approaches to workforce automation and Artificial Intelligence strategies at AITO. Tricia is also an alumna of Techstars participating in the London program in 2016 with her blockchain-enabled financial services platform, Wala, which she scaled across multiple markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.
